First up The Voice of Bike Racing™ - which might or might not be his official title - Jack Burnicle is on hand to guide you through the latest Italian Motorcycle Championship round from Imola, which, umm, isn't in Italy. Knit picking aside the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari will feature two races apiece from the Superbike, 600 Supersport, Moto 3 and Pre Moto 3 classes across the weekend. And oh yeah, they're all live.
The British GT Championship was at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend for its annual away day, and we'll have all the highlights from what turned out to be an action-packed two-hour encounter. Ecurie Ecosse's Marco Attard and Alexander Sims lead the standings pre-Belgium, but was their BMW able to hold off the chasing Aston Martins, Ferraris, Ginettas, Mercedes and McLaren? Britain's premier sportscar series usually shares its billing with BRDC Formula 4 but, for one weekend only, the latter was on its own at Snetterton where the weather was nevertheless decidedly Spa-like! Rounds 10, 11 and 12 proved as entertaining as you'd expect from a bunch of youngsters slipping and sliding around in the wet, and even featured one race winner who started 16th! Not to be missed.
The Le Mans 24 Hours always features a very special support act, and this year was no exception courtesy of the Aston Martin Racing Festival. A gaggle of GT cars, as well as an LMP1 or two, from the British marque's last decade all took to Circuit de la Sarthe for a competitive jaunt around its famous 8.4 miles, the best of which can be seen in our Saturday night highlights show.
One Man and His Dog. Countryfile. That other one with Jamie Oliver's mate in it. Yes, agriculture is all over the telly these days, and Motors TV is no exception thanks to farming's high-octane answer to sheep dog trials: Tractor Pulling. Not just any Tractor Pulling, though. Oh no. I'm talking about the kings of rural industry: the French. Each weekend the ruddy-cheeked flat cap brigade head to their nearest field in the quest to answer a simple question: who can pull an increasingly stubborn weight the furthest. It's compelling stuff, especially if you've never seen a suped-up tractor before. Indeed, so packed is our offering from Bernay that we've had to split it into two parts.
Belgium loves off-road motorcycling, which is just as well given that the FIM Enduro World Championship recently rocked up there for round six. The stunning scenery, daredevil riding and gorgeous cinematography are well worth half-an-hour of your precious time, even if you've only got a passing interest in bikes.
Ipswich probably isn't top of your list of world championship destinations, but for one week in June it became the centre of the Hot Rod world. All it took was a short concrete oval lined with cabling and a smattering of silhouette racing cars to transform this Norfolk town into a magnet for national motorsport enthusiasts. Motors TV top tip: pour your tea into a polystyrene cup and settle down in front of the TV with a greasy hot dog for an authentic hot rod racing experience.
