Henry Kitching won the Cymru Car Trial for the first time on Saturday in sunny North Wales. Reigning champion Mark Hoppe took the early lead and had a day-long battle with Yorkshire’s Henry Kitching.

Brian Roberts won the rear wheel drive class convincingly to finish third overall, following the retirement of Barrie Parkers new rear-wheel-drive Singer.

Kevin Roberts became the eighth different winner of the season on the second day, retaining the HCC Wales trophy he won last year, having missed the Cymru the day before. Roberts extended his lead all day in the rear wheel drive class to 13 points at the end.
