Trident GP2 Feature race review

Raffaele Marciello clinched the front row for todays sprint race and more valuable points in the Hungarian round of the 2015 GP2 Series. Due to an issue during the pit-stop, the team was unable to achieve the expected result with Lello, but the Italian put together an impressive run that eventually handed him a points finish. Rene's race was conditioned by a DRS issue that cost him several laps right after the tire change. He ended his race in P23.11 - RAFFAELE MARCIELLO

The Budapest weekend had started well for Lello, who captured a neat fourth place in qualifying on Friday and showcased enough speed to fight for the pole position. After starting from the second row, the Italian, part of the Ferrari Drivers Academy and the ACI Team Italia, got one position with a fast start and stayed in third until he went for the tire change. The team than faced an issue while the car was in the pits, but Lello eventually managed to drive away and recover up to the points zone in 7th place.

On the other hand, it has been a tough race for Binder. The Austrian, who is recovering after a physical issue due to an infection he caught in the last few weeks, felt sick during qualifying and had to settle for 25th. After starting from the back on option tires, he delivered a great start that helped him to climb up the charts. Right after the pit-stop though, he suffered from a DRS problem, and his rear wing got stuck open. As a consequence, Binder had to come back to the pits and lose valuable ground on the rest of the pack. Once back on-track, his pace was quick and consistent although his race was already jeopardized at that point.
