The Honda Racing team is gearing up for this weekend’s eighth-round British Superbike championship races at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire with riders Dan Linfoot and Jenny Tinmouth on their Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade machines.
The 3.508km Lincolnshire circuit is just 10km from Louth where the Honda Racing workshop is based and is a popular track with fans, generally being the biggest round of the BSB championship. It is probably most famous for ‘the Mountain’ where bikes frequently get airborne.
After stepping on the podium last time out at Thruxton, Linfoot has firmly set his sights on a place in the Showdown and will focus on collecting solid points towards this at the team’s home round.
A positive last outing saw Tinmouth, 36, enjoy consistent lap times on her CBR machine and also set personal best lap times, which she hopes to continue at Cadwell Park and finish both races within the top-25.
The Honda Racing squad enjoyed a positive test at the circuit in the build-up to the weekend and both riders are feeling confident they can have solid races in front of the home-crowd. The team’s third rider Jason O’Halloran is recovering from injuries sustained at Thruxton.

Dan LinfootWe’re in a good position going into Cadwell Park as we did a huge amount of work at the recent test and although it’s never been one of my strongest circuits, I’m feeling fairly confident going into the weekend. I’m in good form after my podium at the last round and just hope I can continue that. This weekend is important for the team, as it’s their home round so I want to put on a good show for them, and especially now as Jason is out with his injury. My main goal for the weekend is to collect some solid points to put me in contention for the Showdown, of course a podium would be nice, but I’m not going to do anything silly, just knuckle down and put in the work for points towards that Showdown!
Jenny TinmouthIf I’m honest, I’m always a little nervous going to Cadwell Park. It’s a great circuit and I absolutely love riding there, but it’s one that I probably struggle with the most, just as it’s the most physical on the calendar. The test we had there was really beneficial and we tried a few different things, mainly working on my position on the Fireblade. We do have some work to do when we get there, but I am feeling in a better position than I have in the past. We collected a lot of data from the test, so I have been doing my homework and looking forward to getting there now and seeing what we can do.
