Entries open for Network Q WRGB National Rally on Thursday

• Private entrants to compete alongside FIA World Rally Championship• All teams based in WRC Service Park at Deeside• Oversubscribed 85 car entry predicted• Entries accepted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis

Official entries open on Thursday morning (10th September) for competitors wishing to compete in this year’s Network Q WRGB National Rally (12-15 November) which runs alongside Wales Rally GB, the UK’s concluding round of the 2015 FIA World Rally Championship. The three-day National Rally features 102 miles of special stages and shadows the full international WRC itinerary, offering single rather than double runs through each of the competitive sections including the RallyFest at Chirk Castle and the iconic Great Orme.Last year’s national event was a great success, selling out in days and enjoying a reserve list for the first time, and organisers are predicting another oversubscribed entry from private entrants eager to compete on the WRC bill. The National Rally crews will be based alongside the WRC teams in the Deeside Service Park and will again play a full part in the main event, from Thursday evening’s Ceremonial Start in Llandudno (which is voluntary for National competitors) to the podium ceremony back in Deeside on Sunday afternoon. As well as a fantastic opportunity to compete on the same classic stages as the top stars, the Network Q WRGB National Rally offers great value for money at just £999 (inc VAT), which includes four Guest Passes and a 8m x 8m plot in the busy Service Park.A total of 85 entries will be accepted for the national event, although this figure could be increased slightly depending on the final number of international entries received for the WRC event. No more than 160 entries will be accepted in total for both events and these will be accepted on a ‘first come, first served’ basis but only after payment has been received.Once the initial 85 places have been filled, subsequent entries will be placed on a reserve list. The on-line entry form will go live on the official walesrallygb.com website at 8am on Thursday morning (10 September). International entries open 24 hours earlier on Wednesday (9 September) and close on Monday 12 October – all those applying for the international event by the closing date are guaranteed an entry.“Wales Rally GB may be the final round of the WRC, but it is also the climax of the British rallying year,” said Ben Taylor, Managing Director of Wales Rally GB. “We want this event to be a real end of season party for the sport and the national crews play an important part in that. Last year’s event was oversubscribed, so we are advising all those wanting to be a part of this great event to make sure they apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment as we are expecting another sell-out.”Full information can be found online via the ‘competitors’ navigation on the official www.walesrallygb.com website.
