EDINBURGH skipper Craig Cook is to leave the Premier League champions in order to further his international aspirations.Cook led the Monarchs to a string of trophies during his five years at Armadale and has also doubled-up in recent seasons with Elite League Belle Vue - but he is now to take on more commitments in Europe, and will therefore compete in one UK league rather than two.Cook said: “This has been a very hard decision for me as the captain of the Monarchs, but if I want to ride internationally in top-flight speedway this is something I have to do to try and secure a 2017 GP place via the GP qualifiers. “I would like to thank the club and the fans for all their support in what was a very triumphant and enjoyable five years as a Monarch. I wish the Monarchs all the very best for the 2016 race season and beyond. I owe a lot to the Monarchs as I wouldn’t be the rider I am today without the help and support from all you guys.
