Motors TV Weekly Highlights

First and foremost is an event that any self-professed motorsport fan cannot miss: the FIA World Rally Championship season finale in Wales. This round marks the 20th anniversary of WRC legend Colin McRae’s iconic championship win, when the rapid Scotsman took victory in the 1995 rally and became the youngest ever WRC champion in the process. As a record that remains unbeaten to the present day, this outing will be all the more special for it. Factor in the return of the classic Myherin and Great Orme stages and you have a truly unmissable curtain call on your hands, so make sure you catch all the action with our daily highlights programmes.

Now for some dirt-based hooliganism of a different but highly entertaining kind! Indeed, the spectacular Supercross de Paris-Lille returns to the Pierre Mauroy Stadium this weekend for another bout of two-wheeled slicing and dicing. A large roster of world-class daredevils comprise the SX1 Open and SX2 Lites categories taking part in the event, with a challenging series of steep jumps and tricky obstacles pushing the riders’ skill to the very limit. As professional dirtbike racing doesn’t get much more competitive, especially with the likes of this year’s MXGP champ Romain Febvre on board, you’d be mad to miss our live coverage of both days!

We also have the best bits of this year’s somewhat eventful United SportsCar Championship campaign for you to marvel at. After an entire season of ultra competitive racing in the Prototype, Prototype Challenge, GTLM and GTD classes, the packed grid put on a fantastic show in a rain-soaked final round at Road Atlanta. Amidst all the madness caused by atrocious conditions, a plethora of titles were seized alongside a shock victory by 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Nick Tandy and his #911 co-pilot Patrick Pilet, who defied all the odds to come first overall in their GTLM racer. With dramatic twists and turns guaranteed, need we say more?

There’s plenty to say about another of our favourite elite sportscar series: ADAC GT Masters. Indeed, we like it so much that we’ve put all the greatest moments from the 2015 season together into a jam-packed highlights programme. Featuring a stuffed grid of GT cars from every coveted supercar brand imaginable, this series delivered yet another belter of a season, with every title battle going down to the last round at Hockenheim. Team Zakspeed's Luca Ludwig and Sebastian Asch fended off BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert title rival Dominik Baumann in a race marred by difficult conditions to take the crown, making Asch the series’ first ever two-time champion. Tune in to see how the dynamic duo helped rewrite the history books!

And if that wasn’t enough, you can also catch highlights from the Supercar Challenge and our favourite moments from this year’s FIM Enduro World Championship season! With all that and more in store, who needs fireworks to get their kicks?
