BEN Hopwood has re-signed for Eastbourne ahead of the 2016 National League season.Manchester-based Hopwood was a successful signing for the Eagles midway through the last campaign, and the club were keen to hand him a return to Arlington.Eastbourne director Connor Dugard said: “I had some very long talks with Ben and we came to an agreement. He and his family are good people and Ben’s definitely got the talent.“Ben knows if he wants to progress to the Premier League he's got to make that step up, and fair play to him, that's what he's doing. He’s knowledgeable and can help us around the tracks like Stoke, Buxton, Mildenhall and Rye House.”Eastbourne have also announced an extension to their deal with main team sponsors IT First.Dugard added: “The speedway would not have run as half as well as it did last year without the help of everyone at IT First, especially down to the hard work from Paul and Karen Goldsmith as well as Simon Gregg. “They helped put on a show from start to finish and we plan to make 2016 bigger and better than 2015.”
