WOLVERHAMPTON have completed their 2016 line-up with the signings of Sam Masters and Jacob Thorssell.Masters had been due to compete in the Elite League for the Monmore club three years ago but then missed out on British racing, whilst Thorssell is one of only two survivors from Wolves’ troubled 2015 campaign.

Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to Monmore Green at the second time of asking. I believe he’s got plenty of ability, he never gives up and I’m certain he will prove popular with the Wolverhampton fans.

“The return of Jacob is pleasing, although I must say it was a tough call between him and Ricky Wells.“Ricky was in brilliant form around Monmore on occasions but I think we both realise a season away from Wolverhampton could do him good. I’m very confident he will find another team place. Jacob wants to improve and I believe there’s a lot more to come from him in 2016.”

EDINBURGH have confirmed the return of Sam Masters for a third season in Monarchs colours in 2016.Masters has been already been a member of two title-winning teams at Armadale, and is set to take on added responsibility next year with former captain Craig Cook not racing in the Premier League.

Masters said: “I want to ride at Edinburgh because I’ve always enjoyed it there, I’m happy to do another year with them.“I’m not concerned about being number one, it didn’t worry me before. It was injuries which held me back, I was out for seven weeks which was a struggle. I’ve been home, had a few weeks off, spent a bit of time with Cookie who has been out here staying with me, and I’m trying to get fit now.”
