CRADLEY’S former title-winning captain Ashley Morris is to make a return to the club in next season’s National League.Morris, 21, was the first signing made by the then-Dudley Heathens following their rise from the ashes in 2010 and went on to lead them to a clean sweep of honours in 2013, and he now returns to the third tier as he has been unable to secure an Elite or Premier League team place for 2016.Morris said: “I’m really looking forward to being back at Cradley. Over the years they’ve taught me a lot and I’ve had some great times riding for the Heathens, so it’s brilliant to be back.“There was only one place I was going to consider if I was going to go back to the National League, so I’m happy they’ve given me the chance to ride for them again. It was a no brainer as soon as I spoke to them, and I’m excited to get back to wearing a Heathens race jacket.”
