SWINDON have appointed Jason Doyle as their club captain ahead of the 2016 campaign. The popular Australian, one of the Robins’ Elite League title heroes in 2012, will be back at the Abbey next year having spent the last two seasons with Leicester.Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said: “We are obviously delighted to have Doyley back with us next season, and we are pleased to make him captain as well. I thought last year he matured so much, and in the Grand Prix’s he showed just how far he’s come as a rider. “Obviously he’s one of the most experienced members of the team, and he’ll no doubt help the younger riders we’ve got.”Doyle added: “Having so many Australians in the team will make my job easy as we all bounce off each other anyway and we will spur each other on in the pits.“I'm sure the track walks before each meeting will also be fun as we all know each other that well and the atmosphere will be great.”
