TW STEEL DMAX Kart Championship revs up for 2016

WITH ALL NEW 'POWER MAXED' ENDURANCE SERIES UK's most competitive hire-kart series ready for take-off at Daytona Milton KeynesThis year's DMAX Championship predicted to be best ever with all-new POWER MAXED Endurance series

21 February 2016 will see the UK's most competitive hire-kart series - the TW Steel DMAX Championship - thunder off the grid at Daytona Milton Keynes for the start of what promises to be its most successful season yet. After celebrating a phenomenal year in 2015 with 325 individual drivers at seven different circuits nationwide, this year's series will further expand to include an additional championship, Daytona Power Maxed Endurance Team Challenge.

Open to teams of 2 to 4 drivers, Daytona's all-new 'Power Maxed' Team Championship, is a four-round series running in conjunction with the 2016 DMAX calendar. Racing Daytona's outstanding DMAX karts over 2.5 hours at each of the four rounds, the best three will count for the Championship. Two weight classes (light and heavy) will ensure an equal playing field with 30 places available on the grid at any one round. This series adds an exciting and challenging new dimension of team-racing to the TW Steel DMAX Championship which, since its inception back in 2009, has only ever been a single-driver series.

Jim Graham, Daytona DMAX Series Director "Following the best ever DMAX season last year, with the closest racing, we are really looking forward to 2016. With a race calendar designed to ensure full grids across the classes, Daytona are committed to building upon the strengths of the DMAX Racing brand."

He continues,"We are delighted to welcome Power Maxed as our newest partners for this year. Anyone who has seen the impact the brand has had in the British Touring Car Championship will understand what they will be bringing to both Daytona and our DMAX Championships. We look forward to an exciting and long lasting partnership with Power Maxed."

Power Maxed CEO, Adam Weaver, says "Daytona Motorsport is one of the leading nationwide kart venue operators and the DMAX Championship is without doubt, the most competitive hire-kart Championship available in the UK today - so it was an easy marketing decision to partner up with Daytona's new DMAX Endurance series."

He continues, "We develop our products so much faster through increased feedback especially from top-level racing which is why Daytona's DMAX Endurance series is an ideal fit with our brand. With Power Maxed and Daytona's aim to stay at the top of their game, we are looking forward to an exciting and productive partnership."
