LEICESTER have completed their line-up with the signing of former Danish Under-21 Champion Patrick Hougaard for a second spell with the club.Hougaard rode for the Lions in the early weeks of the 2014 campaign before electing to take time out of British speedway following a crash at Coventry which left him with a broken thumb.He said: “I’m excited to be back racing in the UK again. Leicester are racing (on) Saturdays which fits my racing schedule perfect. “I have ridden for Leicester before but this time I feel a lot more confident, especially after a good season in 2015. David (Hemsley) has been good to deal with, the team looks solid and I’m sure we will have a great year.”

PLYMOUTH have received local recognition following their best-ever Premier League season in 2015.The Devils won the Team of the Year accolade at the sports personality awards organised by the local Plymouth Herald newspaper.A strong finish to the campaign saw the club finish sixth in the PL table and qualify for the title play-offs for the first time. The award was collected by team manager Lee Trigger and captain Kyle Newman.Co-promoter Ashley Taylor said: “The event was a high prestige evening organised bythe local newspaper and it was a really good boost for speedway for our team to win the award.”
