Michele La Rosa, 35, will compete in 2016 edition of the Auto GP Formula Open. La Rosa, who has run in Auto GP since 2011 will take to the track with MLR71.

2014 saw him finish in seventh place overall. In 2015 Michael had a brief experience in the Le Mans Series (LMP2), but this year he decided to go back to driving a 550-hp car.

The championship which opened this year to all the single-seaters from 2000 on will start in Monza on May 22.
