NIELS-KRISTIAN Iversen roared to a 15-point maximum to take the honours in Ulrich Ostergaard’s Testimonial at Peterborough.Iversen was joined on the rostrum by fellow former Panthers Hans Andersen (13) and Krzysztof Buczkowski (12) whilst Ostergaard himself labelled the meeting as a major success – despite finishing last!Ostergaard said: “It was a brilliant day which I will never forget. The weather was perfect, the crowd was fantastic and the riders put on some great entertainment.“It was lovely to see so many top guys on the track and it great to speak to fans who had travelled from all over the country.“I’m delighted with how the meeting went even though my own riding wasn’t quite as good as I had hoped.“This event would not have happened without a lot of hard work from a lot of people behind the scenes and I want to publicly thank everyone who has been involved in making today such a great day.”(SPEEDWAY 2)

SHEFFIELD skipper Simon Stead is back home after crashing out of his first meeting in almost a year.Stead, who is back to full fitness after suffering serious arm and leg injuries last April, tangled with Tigers team-mate Josh Bates in the Ben Fund Bonanza charity meeting at King's Lynn.Said Stead: “Talk about rotten luck in my first meeting back! I'm back at home resting up, I feel generally battered and bruised and sore all over. It's fair to say I've had better days.”The other rider to crash out of the Ben Fund Bonanza, Krzysztof Kasprzak, also escaped serious injury. The Coventry star was taken to hospital with a suspected broken collarbone, but x-rays subsequently revealed no breaks.
