Italian team to test its LMP3 Ligier for the first time in Le Castellet with 22 year old rookie driver from Milan alongside Lacorte and Sernagiotto, who had already confirmed their “Road to Le Mans” project

Scuderia Villorba Corse gets back in action for the first time in 2016 at the European Le Mans Series official test on March 22/23 at Le Castellet. Italian team will test the new Ligier JS P3 powered by Nissan adding Niccolò Schirò to its regular driver line-up formed by Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto, who had already confirmed their “Road to Le Mans” racing project. The 22 year old driver from Milan will make his debut on a LMP3 class prototype after two brilliant GT seasons with the team led by Raimondo Amadio.

Team principal Amadio says; “We are expecting two very demanding days in Le Castellet. Approaching the start of the season with Schirò is a reinforcement for our entire racing program. For him this will be the third season with us. He is perfectly integrated within the team. I believe that with Lacorte and Sernagiotto as teammates he will be at ease and will be able to make the most of his undoubted potential”.
