Villorba Corse starts GT4 European Series with three Maserati GranTurismos

Italian team will line up Anselmi/Sernagiotto, Fogliani/Zamparini and Chodzen/Chodzen for the first round of the championship promoted by SRO

Scuderia Villorba Corse is set to start a brand new racing programme taking part in the Competition102 GT4 European Series. In the first 2016 round of the international championship promoted by SRO Motorsports Group, to be held next weekend at Monza, Italian team will line up three Maserati GranTurismo MCs in GT4-specs, becoming partner and reference team of the House of the Trident.

Under the aegis of Maserati, the squad led by Raimondo Amadio will make its debut in this new adventure with one crew in the Pro category, formed by 25 years old Luca Anselmi and team's regular driver Giorgio Sernagiotto, and two crews in Am division: Alessandro Fogliani / Patrick Zamparini and Polish Piotr Chodzen partnered by his son Antoni. A total of 27 GT4 cars will take part in the opening round of the Competition102 GT4 European Series at Autodromo Nazionale Monza which to Villorba Corse represents also the home round of the series. The first fifty minute-race starts at 13:55 hr on Saturday 23 April. The lights for the second race will go out at 11:15 hr on Sunday 24 April. Both races will be streamed live on www.gt4series.com.

We worked hard all winter long and starting from Monza with three cars is the evidence. We hope in a positive racing weekend and our home round can be an extra help but we will see our real value only at the end of the action”.
