An impoortant opening round for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo with 47 entrant cars and 70 drivers

The double Qualifying Session, raced on a dry racetrack and with a temperature reaching nearly 18 degrees, showed how Lamborghini competitiveness has been increasing with a team of drivers competing for the first placesIn the first Qualifying Session Bonaldi Motorsport reached the first pole position of the season as Finnish driver Kujala obtained it in the PRO-AM category. Kujala shared his car with the Swiss driver Amstutz, who reached a good seventh position in Qualifying Practice 2. The very young PRO Kodric had top ten performances in both the Sessions. Good performances also for Ineichen in AM and for Vera-Barbosa in PRO-AM categories.

At the start of Race 1 Kujala was fast to pass a rival at the first hard braking first Chincane and he reached the first four leading drivers. At the middle of the race the Finnish driver handed the car to Amstutz while he was in first PRO-AM position with a good distance from the second place. His pit stop was flawless and the Swiss driver could not only keep his first position but also drive with no mistakes giving the first success of the season to Bonaldi Motorsport. Kodric’s performance was excellent: in the second part of the race he offered exciting overtaking to the spectators in Monza. Thanks to his overtaking he took absolute fourth place. Ineichen and Vera-Barbosa also performed well.

Adrian Amstutz: “We started the season doing our best: I am aware of the fact that PRO-AM category is difficult but my final goal is to improve my third place in the 2015 championship… and I’d say that I am on the right way!”.
