On his debut ride at the Around-A-Pound Tandragee 100 Road Races, round three of the Duke Road Race Rankings 2016, Manxman Dan Kneen took the chequered flag in the feature race on the Mar-Train Yamaha.
The twenty-eight year old opened his account on the 5.344-mile North Armagh course with a win in the first Superbike race, but a subsequent protest of a suggested 'jump-start' against Kneen and rival Derek Sheils, dropped the duo to 10th & 11th places. An appeal against the decision has still be to heard.
On the Supersport machine Dan finished second 1.2-seconds behind current Duke Rankings Champion, William Dunlop.
Currently Dan Kneen slots into 12th in the Rankings Table with 133 points.
Meanwhile William Dunlop continued his defence of his Duke title with a second place in the Superbike race (subject to appeal decision) and a fifth in the feature race, placing him in 10th position in the table.
Seven times winner of the Geoff Duke Trophy Ryan Farquhar was awarded the race victory, again subject to appeal in the Superbike race and was first across the line in the SuperTwins race also adding a sixth place in the Tandragee 100 race, resulting in him moving from fifth to third in the current table after three rounds.
Michael Sweeney remains in second place in the table after a trio of fourth places and a seventh giving him a total of 373 points.
