Young Croatian driver Martin Kodric missesout on certain podium
The young driver Kodric made a good start with the Bonaldi Motorsport Huracàn and overtook both Postiglione and then Del Monte on the second lap putting him in third place.
The first three drivers gained a good distance from the rivals but this was then cancelled due to the safety car which joined the racetrack because of crashes on three different areas of the circuit.
Aftera pit stop Martin regained the track in fifth but after few laps he re-gained a podium position. A further safety car period was called and on the restart Martin was rear-ended and forced to stop.
The South-American crew Vera-Barbosa has an excellent race. The Puerto Rican driver took first stint and the Colombian took over after the pit stop finishing 15th positions after a staring in 36th position. The excellent fifth place by the Swiss driver Ineichen in AM category.
Martin Kodric: “It’s a pity for the final result. The podium was really close to me. Unfortunately, when the safety car started for the second time, my car was crashed at the Roggia turn and then I turned over at the following turn probably because of the previous crash which damaged my car rear axle.”.
William Barbosa: “For me this was my absolute launch in this category: the environment is wonderful and the championship is very competitive. I feel well with my team and Race 2 demonstrated how well we worked together after a weekend only. I am sure that my teammate Vera and I can compete for the leading positions of our category starting from next race.”.
