Fox Motorsport target multi-series success for 2016

The fledgling Fox Motorsport team is targeting success across five championships for 2016. The Maldon based team will not undertake a full season in British GT but will instead run a multitude of customers in British GT, GT Cup, Ginetta Supercup, Ginetta Juniors and Ginetta GT5/GRDC+ along with karting commitments in Super One and Formula Kart Stars.

Following the success of the teams entry into British GT in 2014 the team has gone from strength to strength, after taking a breakthrough pole position and a win in 2015 team principal Paul McNeilly felt the time was right for him to take a step back and take more of an active role in building the team and focus on his sons Liam McNeilly’s karting program, which will see the youngest member of Fox Motorsport contest a dual Campaign in Formula Kart Starts and the Super One Championship.

Keaton Samra joins the team for his maiden year in car racing and will undertake a concentrated testing program before taking on the Ginetta Winter Series this year and a planned full season for 2017. Samra who has had a successful karting career hopes to impress during the Winter Series and will also join the team as an apprentice during the teams British GT events to learn the art of GT racing from the bottom up.

Another driver making the jump from karts is MSA British KZ1 vice-Champion Sam Webster who will tackle 2 rounds of GT Cup and the final round of British GT at Donington Park in September before a planned full season for 2017. McNeilly will return for the Silverstone round of British GT alongside the teams resident driver coach and professional driver Jamie Stanley who will also drive with Sam Webster in his events to help prepare him for 2017.

The team will field two cars in Ginetta GT5 Challenge/GRDC+ one for Gary Wager and the other of Stefan Nadarajan, both drivers return to the British GT support series looking for success and have joined Fox Motorsport full time for 2016. While Nadarajan will be looking to be more consistent than 2015, Wager has his sights set on the title following a good pre-season test at Snetterton last month. The team still has options for drivers who wish to contest British GT or GT Cup and are also able to run more cars for drivers in GT5 Challenge/GRDC+.Finally the team is eagerly awaiting the imminent arrival of the all new Ferrari 488 GT3 which will be run in conjunction with Ferrari Specialist’s FF Corse. FF Corse has options for drivers who would like to test or race the very latest offering from Ferrari.
