Villorba Corse to enter 2016 Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup

Italian team unveils their “Racing with Ferrari” programme which marks the beginning of another challenge in the new international championship starting from Imola with one 458 for a French crew

Scuderia Villorba Corse has announced their “Racing with Ferrari” programme for the 2016 season. Italian team will take part in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup starting from the opening round to be held at Imola on May 14. In the six rounds of this brand new international series, created by ACO Le Mans and reserved exclusively for GT3 cars and primarily for amateur drivers, the squad led by Raimondo Amadio will line up a French pair formed by Cedric Mezard and Steeve Hiesse. Alongside their commitment at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3 starting from Imola, Villorba Corse's internal division for sports clients is working to bring a second car in the championship.

Team Principal Raimondo Amadio says: “Our partnership with Ferrari has been playing a crucial role in the Villorba Corse activities for many years. In 2016 it will be focused on the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup, a very interesting championship with a well-organized calendar, including Le Mans. We already know Mezard and Hiesse, we can get significant results with them and we want a second car in the championship as soon as possible”.
