KING'S Lynn promoter and British Speedway chief Keith Chapman is urging fans cross the country to make a full day of the trip to Norfolk for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix qualifying round on Saturday.
A world-class line-up of riders will do battle to get through to the semi-final stages at King's Lynn's Adrian Flux Arena - and the weather forecast is for a dry, sunny day!
Said Chapman: "We are blessed in this part of the world, I would urge fans from everywhere to come and make a day of it, or even a weekend!"It's a huge meeting for King's Lynn as a club with some fabulous riders - but it's also an opportunity for fans to enjoy the historic town of Kings' Lynn, plus we're not far away from Sandringham and Wisbech, well worth a visit."In King's Lynn there are lovely views by the quay, cafes, bars and restaurants, it has all the ingredients for a perfect day out followed by a terrific night of speedway."Fans will be made more than welcome on Saturday night, I'm expecting a great atmosphere and I firmly believe the action will be fast and furious."Home favourite Robert Lambert will be backed by a bumper crowd against the likes of former Grand Prix stars Kenneth Bjerre, Freddie Lindgren, Hans Andersen and Krzysztof Kasprzak - all looking to secure their place back in the big time in 2017.
Admission is £20 adults, £15 concessions, £5 juniors and Under 5s go free. A special 56-page full colour souvenir programme with a gloss cover and bond racecard will also be available for £4. The action starts at 7.30pm.
