Ian 'Hutchy' Hutchinson went down in the record books today at the Isle of Man TT. Riding for the CAME BPT Yamaha team, Ian secured two fantastic Supersport wins for Team Traction Control. On Monday, Ian took a fantastic victory in race one of the Monster Energy Supersport race from Michael Dunlop and then repeated that again today in the second Supersport race.Ian Hutchinson also gained two wins on the Team Traction Control machine in 2015 and was eager to ride in the Supersport class again this year. Practice week was hampered with a couple of problems on and off track, but 'Hutchy' was always near the top of the time sheets each time he got out on the bike.As most know Ian has gone through over 30 operations in previous years after a horrific accident at Silverstone in 2010. Last year, with TTC he gained his first TT victory since the life changing injuries he sustained to his leg.He was super-fast in all classes throughout the practice week and was more than eager to get out on the little CAME BPT Yamaha R6 during race week on the Island. Ian was on a mission in race one on Monday morning and in absolutely perfect weather conditions to secure his third consecutive TT Supersport win for the team and his 12th TT victory, in doing so he also smashed the current Supersport lap record around the Island.He had the perfect run and a great pit-stop after the second lap, and kept his lead from Michael Dunlop around the 10 second mark. Despite coming across several back-markers on the final lap he was still able to win the race from Dunlop by 14.303 seconds and he smashed the previous lap record by 15.2 seconds. Michael Dunlop was later excluded from the race result.Ian Hutchinson - Race 1 - "It is an amazing feeling again like last year. This team has always stood by me through all the lows and now I'm able to repay them with the highs.I thought this year would be easier than last as it was all very last minute with no testing in 2015. We had a small issue at the North West 200 with this bike and after the six laps I did on the first night of practice, I've not been able to get a lap in since with problems on and off track.So I was a little nervous coming into race one on Monday. On days like that though, it is the reason we race at the TT. It was a beautiful day, the sun was out, the bike was superb and the fans were out, it was just ideal.I knew I had to really get my head down in the opening lap and that is where I managed to bridge a bit of a gap, which I managed to hold onto throughout the race. I got into a good momentum and felt really comfortable.The last lap was a bit of a nightmare as I've never come across so much traffic in all my years at the TT. I nearly crashed try to get passed one of the back markers, which is the last thing you want to do when you are so close to home. You are always conscious though that you could be losing precious time and ten seconds isn't a huge margin around there.I managed to get past them eventually and got my head down for the finish. It's really good to take another win with this CAME BPT Yamaha team and I would like to thank all of the team for their help today and last week. I would also like to send my thoughts and condolences to the family of my friend Paul Shoesmith."On Monday evening he took his 13th TT win in the Superstock race and then he was eager to take win number 14 in the second Supersport race earlier today.With heavy downpours around the circuit yesterday and low lying cloud this morning, the race finally got underway two hours after originally scheduled. Ian went off at number four again and at Glen Helen he had already gained a slight advantage from Michael Dunlop. After the opening lap the time had stretched to just over four seconds from Dunlop with Dean Harrison in third.Another brilliant pit-stop by the team after lap two which saw Ian further extend his lead after lap three to 17.898 seconds. Ian was able to enjoy the final lap and although he was still pushing hard he took another comfortable win, 17.547 from Dunlop and winning TT number 14, four wins on the bounce for the TTC team and winning the most ever Junior / Supersport races at the TT with eight victories, the next rider being the famous Giacomo Agostini who has five.He now sits in fourth place overall TT standings for most wins around the 37-mile circuit, with 14 wins and equalling that of the famous Mike 'The Bike' Hailwood, who ironically also run the number 4 on his machine in the famous 1967 Senior TT.Ian Hutchinson - Race 2 - "I was really excited about riding on the little 600 again. It is great to have gained four successive wins now for TTC and they are not a big team, yet it is perfectly run.It was certainly different conditions today and on the first lap I thought I had a front wheel puncture as the grip was really bad after all the rain yesterday. Once I got my head around that and the difference in track conditions, I just got my head down and wanted to crack on with the race.Apart from the lack of grip on lap one the track was in great condition and the CAME BPT Yamaha was faultless and it really is a lovely little bike to ride around here. I was a bit worried as after Monday we had a small oil leak and so to play on the safe side the team wanted to change the engine, I was a bit cautious as I was happy with the other one! They made the right choice and it didn't miss a beat for the entire race.I think everyone had problems on the 600s this year, with the first Saturday practice being 600s only. We've all done a lot of laps on them and think with such high revs around here they are all a little tired.It certainly wasn't an easy race and it is great to be up here with such good riders and it's an absolute pleasure to ride this Yamaha around here. On the Supersport bike you have to be 100% perfect everywhere and there is no room for mistakes. You have to be accurate everywhere and if you aren't you can totally get out of a rhyme.When you get it right though and hit every point right it's the best feeling and makes it so nice to ride. I really wanted this win today as didn't want to be stuck on the number 13 for too long! I can't really complain about a bad TT now, if you break down you break down. A bad TT for me was sat in a hospital bed just wishing I was there. It is nice to be back feeling how I did in 2010.I can't thank the CAME BPT Yamaha team enough for their support and help this week. They are not a big factory team and Grant, PJ and Chris have been brilliant, plus Steve from Raceways and the people that have helped out over the last few weeks. It is a credit to them to take four wins on the trot and says a lot about the team and how it is put together.
