Duke Road Race Rankings 2016‏

Reigning Duke Road Race Rankings Champion, William Dunlop bounced back after a frustrating TT, with a brace of wins at the Racdliffe Butchers Post TT Road Races, round nine of this year's series.

The popular Ballymoney rider opened his account with a 1.823 second victory in the CuPlus Callow 600cc race from Yorkshireman Jamie Coward, who like Dunlop was suffering the effects of a slip-off the previous day in the Senior TT, with Robert Wilson taking third.

The 650cc Supertwins race saw the continuing rivallry of the 'Yorkshire James' - Cowton and Coward, with the 'battered and bruised' duo finishing in that order after six hectic laps of the 4.25-mile Billown Course. Rob Hodson completed the top three.

The final race of the programme, the Manx Independent Carriers 1100cc race, over the extended distance of eight laps saw a race long battle between 2015 winner Ryan Kneen and William Dunlop, during which the Ulster rider set a new course record for the event at 110.591 mph, before taking the chequered flag and his second victory of the day.

William now moves into fifth place in the rankings list, up three places, whilst Jamie Coward advances six spots from 14th to eighth, while his Yorkshire rival James Cowton, winner in 2014 moves up five places from 17th to 12th.
