Max Mugelli Ferrari-Maserati Finale

Motorsport fans could not have asked for more! The Monza track hosted the Ferrari-Maserati World Finale from October 28th till October 31st. The jam packed programme included: the Ferrari 360 from the Pirelli and Shell Trophy Challenge of the national and international series, historical cars from the Shell Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge, the Maserati Trophy championship  and last but not least ,the Scuderia Ferrari’s exhibition. Scuderia Ferrari’s show was without a doubt the highlight of the event thanks to the participation of Michael Schumacher & Rubens Barrichello.

Max Mugelli was also part of this motor sport happening. The Tuscan driver stood out for his technical and tactical talent that allowed him to conquer many positions after 2 dim qualifying sessions. Max finished 4th in race 1 for the Pirelli Trophy, 7th in race 2 and 8th in the world finale. If he hadn’t been dogged by misfortune during the qualifications, his good result would have been better. Max, who was forced to start at the back of the grid, put on a spectacular show with his climb up on the grid. In race 1, he went from 11th place to 4th and in the world finale; he was 22nd on the starting grid but finished in 8th place!

Max Mugelli had a very rewarding season with only one thing missing: a victory.  Nonetheless, throughout the season, the Tuscan driver demonstrated his technical qualities, his tenacious character and his undisputed sportsmanship. All of which place him on the list as one of the most respected drivers in the paddock.

Max Mugelli

“It was a really intense weekend. It’s a pity that the qualifying session didn’t go week. Be it for the rain, be it for the oil on the track, I wasn’t able to get a front line position. Race 1 on Friday was nice and a battle. I took off in 11th place and knew that I needed to catch up. Lap after lap, I was able to conquer 7 positions and finished in 4th place. It’s a very good result if you consider how things started. The day after in race 2, I finished in seventh place. However, if I hadn’t had the contact with Bontempelli that penalized me, I could have fought for the podium. The real beauty came on Sunday. I climbed my way up from the 22nd place to the 8th position. In 14 laps, I gained 14 positions and this means one position for each lap! It’s very satisfying and I would like to share this with my sponsors who supported me throughout the whole season. I hope that they will be by my side for my next adventures.”
