Less than one week from the inaugural event in Abu Dhabi, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East is coming to the Dubai Autodrome for the second of the three events, scheduled from February 16-18.The fourth one-make series for the Huracán Super Trofeos represents an addition to the other three continental series Europe, Asia and North America and its debut at the Yas Marina circuit was characterized by many new features and a high-level line-up.During the first round in Abu Dhabi, nine were the drivers who got the top step of the podium, such as the AM crew formed by Marco Antonelli and Davide Roda, who scored an absolute win with the colors of Antonelli Motorsport in Race 1, which took place at nighttime; then they obtained a second place which confirmed them as class leaders.The spotlight is also on the young promises, such as the two PRO drivers of GDL Racing, Axcil Jefferies (twenty-two years old from Zimbabwe, at his debut in the series) and the eighteen-year-old Rik Breukers, member of the Young Drivers Program of Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Together they scored a win in Race 2, after that each of them had conquered the pole position during Friday’s qualifying.Among their expected opponents are the two “rookies”, Jack Bartholomew and Parth Ghorpade. In Abu Dhabi, they got the second place overall in Race 1 and the first place in the PRO category, with one of the cars of FFF Racing Team by ACM.In the PRO-AM class, it will be the duo formed by Costantino Bertuzzi and Nigel Farmer to defend the results achieved with GDL Racing in the capital town of the UAE, thanks to the two wins in a row along with a fourth and a third place overall.Among the new entries there is also Gabriele Murroni, who scored two wins in the Lamborghini Cup category during his debut with the team Petri Corse.The Dubai event will kick off on Thursday with free practice sessions. The two qualifying sessions of 20 minutes each are scheduled on Friday, while the first of the two 50-minute races with mandatory pit-stop will start at 3:35 p.m. local time (12:35 CET). Finally, race 2 is scheduled on Saturday at 9:55 a.m. (6:55 a.m. CET).
