Figue of 8 racing at Wimbledon

Spedeworth South hosts a night of racing mayhem at Wimbledon Stadium at the new start time of 5pm when the all-action Rookie Bangers take part in Figure of 8 racing on Sunday, January 16th.

The Rookie Banger pilots will be hurling their stripped out old wrecks around and then across the centre of the famous Plough Lane circuit. With a large grid of cars and the pack having to navigate against oncoming traffic as they attempt to cross the middle of the track, the resulting crashes, spin outs and general automotive madness, are guaranteed to bring a smile to the audience and to the local scrap metal dealers’ faces.

The armoured Stock Cars will be in action on the standard oval circuit. This will not diminish the action as the drivers power their heavily armoured machines around Plough Lane, using their front bumpers at every opportunity to remove the cars between them and the chequered flag.

Rounding off what promises to be another night of action-packed racing, the Ministox will take to the track for their first Wimbledon outing of 2005. The armoured Minis, driven by 11-16 year olds, are the training formula for youngsters aspiring to a career on the oval tracks. While the drivers may be young, they often deliver as much action as the ‘senior’ formulas as they put on a great show while sharpening their skill behind the wheel.

With three formulas in action, plus the chance to see the jaw-dropping Figure of 8 racing Spedeworth South delivers another great night’s racing for all the family at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.  Please do not forget the new start time of 5pm.
