Wilcox will not drive in British GT
British GT Cup Champion Adam Wilcox will NOT drive in this years British GT Championships.Due to a disagreement with Friesinger Motorsport in Germany, it will now not be possible for Wilcox Motorsport to field it's new Porsche GT3-RS." Basically Manfred Friesinger set almost instantly an interest rate on the balance of the car - having already received my deposit, he then imposed a deadline for the final balance plus interest to be paid, which was last Friday, unfortunately I was unable to meet his harsh demands, as we didn't finalise any drivers for the GT2 car before his deadline " Commented Adam Wilcox" I will now have to spend a great deal of time and money recovering this debt from Friesinger Motorsport and it will certainly take the focus off running a GT2 car this year and I would think it highly unlikely, having lost the ammount of money I have on the deposit ( for the time being ) that Wilcox Motorsport will field a GT2 car this year "." I am still looking at running a GT3 car in the British GT Championships, and we still have the infrastructure in place to do fantastic job for people looking at winning the GT3 Championship this year " Furthered Adam.I would only be interested in running this car with 2 very strong drivers. All interested parties can contact Adam on 07813 703425 or email aw@wilcoxmotorsport.com" For me personally, I was looking forward to challenging for the GT2 Championship but I can't see this late in the day that it will be possible for me to drive in 2005, I would be prepared to offer my services to another team as a driver and if they are looking for a proven race and championship winning driver then they can contact me ".
