Silverstone revealed today that the 2005 FORMULA 1 Foster's British Grand Prix (8 – 10th July) has received considerable public support. Tickets for the UK’s premier motorsport event are selling fast after they went on sale on 16th December, following the signing of a new five year agreement for the British Grand Prix to be held at Silverstone. The announcement comes as fans have just two weeks to take advantage of Silverstone’s Early Booking Offer.
Fans buying before February will benefit from being able to enjoy all three days of Formula One action for the price of one. The offer, available until 1st February, provides spectators purchasing race day tickets with a free upgrade to a three- day Weekend Ticket.
The Early Booking Offer was a major feature of Silverstone’s pricing strategy in 2004 and, following its popularity with spectators, has been continued into 2005. With tickets available from £95 for adults (£35 for children), the free upgrade to a three day Weekend Ticket provides a minimum saving of £100 for a family of two adults and two children. Fans ordering tickets after 31st January will be able to purchase race day and Weekend Tickets at a higher price. Weekend Tickets purchased from 1st February onwards will be available from £135 per adult (£45 per child).
Fans are also encouraged to take advantage of Silverstone’s online booking facility - silverstone-circuit.co.uk - which enables Formula One fans to book tickets for the British Grand Prix 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, commented: “The support for this year’s British Grand Prix has been fantastic. Ticket sales are up compared to this time in 2004 and some grandstands are already sold out, including sections of Copse, Luffield and Club.
“The signs are looking positive for another sell-out crowd and, with just two weeks remaining of our Early Booking Offer, we strongly recommend that spectators book their tickets as early as possible, enabling them to take advantage of three days for the price of a race day ticket offer.”
