Dunlop Race Day Auction

GOING ONCE… GOING TWICE… START YOUR ENGINES

Drivers who want a fast track to racing exhilaration are being asked to bid for a unique auction prize from Dunlop tyres in aid of the Asian Tsunami.

Dunlop is auctioning the chance to drive at the Donington April 2nd/3rd double header of the Ginetta championship, with the highest bid going directly to the Disaster Emergency Committee.

James Bailey of Dunlop said: "Dunlop and its sister companies, together with our employees, raised some $90,000 for the Tsunami Appeal in the two weeks following the disaster. However, it is vital that the momentum continues. Dunlop is so active in UK motorsport, that it is natural for us to use our motorsport connections to offer an incredible opportunity for a driver to not only get on the grid, but to raise money at the same time."

With vacant drives at a premium in this incredibly competitive championship Dunlop and Ginetta hope that the bidding will raise a significant sum for the appeal. The drive includes a full days testing and if the successful bidder is a rookie Dunlop will fund ARDS training course to help you achieve your Motor Sports Association (MSA) licence.

Bids can be submitted at Driversknow.co.uk with a closing date of February 18th 2005.
