Labonte-Haas Adds Barr-Nunn Transport

Labonte-Haas Motorsports has announced Barr-Nunn Transportation of Granger, Iowa, as an associate sponsor on their #44 United States Coast Guard Chevrolets driven by Justin Labonte for 2005.

Labonte-Haas Motorsports will run the full 2005 NASCAR Busch Series schedule with Labontebehind the wheel and compete for the series championship.  The Barr-Nunn sponsorship includes signage on Labonte's Chevrolet for the entire season starting with the season opening race February 19 at Daytona Beach, FL.

Barr-Nunn Transportation plans to use the program to emphasize their driver recruiting slogan, "The Difference IS Real."  This campaign is designed to create awareness among their current and prospective drivers and owner operators of their top-notch compensation, cost containment programs and dedicated tours to accommodate driver needs for more at home time.

"How could you better communicate our commitment to, "The Difference IS Real," than byassociating our company with the Labonte family," said Rene Beacom, President of Barr-NunnTransportation."  The Labonte name is one of the most respected names in racing; not only because of their racing success, but also due the class way they have always conducted themselves both on and off the track."

"Labonte-Haas Motorsports and Barr-Nunn Transportation know what it takes to win.  While high performance equipment, a top-notch support team and a lot of hard work and preparation are crucial in racing or trucking, in the end, the driver is the real key to getting the job done right.  At Barr-Nunn we recognize how important our drivers are.Everyone who doesn't drive is in place to support those who do.  We think our association with Justin Labonte and the #44 Coast Guard Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series will help us deliver the message to both our current drivers and those who may be interested in becoming a part of Barr-Nunn Transportation."

In November, Terry Labonte and Gene Haas announced that they had formed a partnership to field Chevrolets for Justin for this year. The Coast Guard team will be run out of the Haas CNC Racing facility near Lowe's Motor Speedway. Haas receives chassis, motor and technical support from Hendrick Motorsports for his Nextel Cup and Busch Series programs.

"When I announced that I was cutting back on my racing I said that much of the free time it would create for me would be devoted to helping Justin with his driving career," said Terry Labonte. "This partnership with Gene Haas is just the beginning of that effort and now having Barr-Nunn come on board is another piece in the puzzle."

The Labonte team though running a limited schedule won the Busch Series race at ChicagolandSpeedway last July.  Haas CNC Racing won with driver Jason Leffler at Nashville in June.  "I am pleased to have a company of the caliber of Barr-Nunn Transportation join our team," said Justin Labonte.  "This is going to be a good year for us and we can't wait to get started."
