Exciting new Eletre electric Hyper SUV and Emira sports car to headline the new car line-up
Classic Lotus Esprit to grace the Lotus stand at Blenheim Palace

Salon Privé opens on August 30

Lotus is returning to Salon Privé Concours in force with a full line-upnew models and a classic legend to thrill guests later this month at Blenheim Palace.

A line-up of Lotus Eletre and Lotus Emira will also be in dynamic action for guest test-drives at Salon Privé Concours throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Lotus Eletre is the first high-performance electric Hyper SUV. It is aimed at a new generation of Lotus customers, and Salon Privé guests will be able to inspect the new practical, versatile and spacious family-oriented model up close ahead of customer deliveries beginning in the UK and Europe.

The most advanced Lotus ever, the Eletre has an electric range of up to 373 miles and can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes at a suitably powerful DC ultra-rapid charger. The flagship Lotus Eletre R can also accelerate from 0-62mph in under three seconds – making it the world’s fastest dual-motor electric SUV. Other high-tech features include active aerodynamics and the cutting-edge Lotus Hyper OS infotainment system.

Alongside the Eletre, the Lotus Emira sports car will also be showcased. The model made its worldwide debut two years ago and has since been critically acclaimed as the most accomplished Lotus sports car ever. Now, a second model, with a high-output four-cylinder turbo engine, has been added to the range – making it the most powerful four-cylinder Lotus sports car of all time.

The storied Lotus brand will demonstrate a classic model from its collection, too – the iconic Lotus Esprit supercar. A poster car of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, the pristine Esprit S1 from 1976 – the first year of production – links back to the storied Lotus heritage and is sure to gain admiring glances from Salon Privé guests – many of whom may have owned an original Lotus Esprit themselves.

Conor Horne, UK Director, Lotus Cars, said: “With the incredible heritage and simply breath-taking new product coming through, I have never been more confident that our UK customers will enjoy the experience of both Eletre, our fully electric Hyper SUV, and Emira, our critically acclaimed sports car, to mark Lotus’ return to Salon Privé.”

“I am delighted to welcome Lotus back to Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace, and pleased this famous brand is bringing such a thrilling line-up of models,” said Salon Privé co-founder and director David Bagley. “The Eletre is a unique high-performance electric Hyper SUV and one that I’m sure our guests will be really interested to inspect up close, while the Emira is a classic Lotus concept reinvented for a new era. That they’ll be able to get behind the wheel for dynamic drives throughout the event simply adds to the appeal – and when you factor in the beautiful classic Lotus Esprit, the excitement of Lotus at Salon Privé is sure to be a headline draw!”
