PETERBOROUGH'S Elite League status is secure after a club record 67-23 hammering of Wolverhampton at the East of England Showground.The meeting was marred by injuries to Panthers star Danny King (ankle) and Wolves duo Morten Risager (broken wrist) and Niels Kristian Iversen (dislocated shoulder).Panthers boss Trevor Swales said: "We were simply superb and it's a relief to us all, just a shame about the injuries."

(SPEEDWAY 2) COVENTRY have one hand on the Craven Shield thanks to a 47-43 first leg win at Lakeside.Ben Barker continued his superb progress with 14-points at reserve for the Brandon side who host the return next Friday, October 24.Boss Peter Oakes said: "It would be nice to finish off with another trophy, but we won't be taking anything for granted, we all know what Andreas Jonsson is capable of at Brandon."
