The Hagerty Hill Climb returns on Saturday 9th May 2026, providing an opportunity for enthusiasts to take their own cars onto one of the world’s most celebrated motorsport venues, Shelsley Walsh. But this is not just an event for the drivers, it also offers a great value day out for spectators too.

Competitor cars confirmed to take part include icons such as the Ford GT40 and Porsche 911 Carrera, lining up alongside rarities including a Saab Sonett V4 and Vauxhall Firenza.

Fans of motorsport will delight in the sound and spectacle of rally stars running up the hill courtesy of Hagerty Hill Climb favourites, Ralli 22. The line-up for this year could be one of the best yet with a rally paddock including a Roger Clark tribute Ford Escort RS1600 Mk1, a Group A Renault 5 GT Turbo, a classic Mini Cooper S built by Paddy Hopkirk, a WRC Ford Focus once driven by Colin McRae and a stunning Perodua Kancil 4x4 Turbo to name but a few.

Spectator tickets start from just £30 per car (with as many occupants as you can carry), offering outstanding value and access to the full hill climb circuit. Spectating at the Hagerty Hill Climb is almost as exciting as driving up the hill itself. With full access to the entire Shelsley site, spectators can enjoy great motorsport up close watching these incredible cars launch off the line, or by walking up the course to enjoy a different view all of your own, made all the better if you take a picnic.

Paddock access is also included, meaning you can meet the competitors, ask questions, take photos and get up close and personal with all the cars taking part. It’s motorsport, but without the barriers. Whether you’re a lifelong enthusiast or just love a great day out, there’s something for everyone - food stalls, displays, great viewing spots and plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

For those wanting to go beyond watching and truly immerse themselves, entrants can drive their own car up the hill for just £150 for three guaranteed runs throughout the day. No competition experience is required, and all cars are welcome, from cherished classics and hot hatches to daily drivers, simply bring your car and enjoy the thrill.

“Hagerty endeavors to offer enthusiasts exciting and unique ways to enjoy their vehicles,” says Mark Roper, Managing Director of Hagerty UK. “With our roads filled with potholes and traffic we hope our Hill Climb guests enjoy the opportunity to enjoy driving in a safe, relaxed and welcoming environment and I am looking forward to meeting them on the day.”
