Rocketeer opens the throttle on its future

Rocketeer opens the throttle on its future

Rocketeers News

I hope this newsletter finds you well and you’re starting to enjoy the sunny, roof-down summer driving months.

We’re excited to share some important news with you — our clients, prospects, and supporters — at the same time as we announce it to the media. We have just successfully concluded our first round of funding, bringing new, enthusiast investors into Rocketeer to help us enhance our product offering and scale our market presence, especially in the USA.

We have now delivered more than thirty Turnkey and RestoMod vehicles, and we have supplied over 150 self-build kits. This investment demonstrates a strong external validation of our progress to date. Our new investors are automotive enthusiasts — owners of several supercars and classics — who, like us, recognise the appeal of an old-school analogue sports car. They like the car so much that they’ve ordered two Rocketeer MXV6s for themselves.

The new investment will fund the development and completion of two completely new vehicles as well as expanding into new markets.

Later this year, we will be launching the new Rocketeer Keiryō – Japanese for Lightweight. One of our most discerning clients set us the task of building the lightest and most powerful RocketeerMXV6 ever created. The Rocketeer Keiryō is targeting 850kgs and 375hp to deliver441hp per tonne – the same power-to-weight ratio as the legendary Ferrari F40 and more recent supercars such as the Lamborghini Huracan V10 and McLaren 620R. And the exciting part is that once the first car is delivered to its pioneering owner, follow-on Keiryō cars will be built. The order book is now open.

We have also been inundated with requests for the Rocketeer MXV6 conversion to the NC Mk3 MX5 / Miata. The investment also supports the conclusion of this project, which is already in the late stages of engineering development and has been tested on the dynamometer to more than 300 hp as standard. Deliveries of NC cars are expected to begin later this year, initially as Turnkeys and RestoMod cars rather than self-build kits, to ensure quality and reliability, and we expect NC to account for a significant proportion of future builds. If you’re one of the many Mk3 NC owners who’ve been waiting for the Rocketeer MXV6, please get in touch so we can keep you updated as the vehicle comes to market.

The final development is for Rocketeer to be able to deliver vehicles in the important US market, on top of our existing build partners in Germany, the Netherlands and Australia. We’ve seen substantial and increasing interest for Rocketeers in America, and the investment allows us to deliver Turnkey cars to US-based clients. We have now engaged a Miata performance and race car expert partner in Kansas, who is ready to start building vehicles. So, if you’re in the US and want a Rocketeer MXV6 built for you, please get in touch.

Enjoy your roof down motoring, and we hope to see you soon.
