The Jaguar E-Type was unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The Series 1 in 3.8-litre form, produced from 1961 to 1964, is considered the most desirable of the E-Type lineage, featuring the original straight-six engine, covered headlamps and flat floors that distinguish it from later variants. Enzo Ferrari is said to have called it the most beautiful car ever built. Matching-numbers examples with documented restorations represent the highest tier of E-Type collectability.
