What is Formula Schools?

An exciting competition giving key stage 3 and 4 pupils the chance to design, engineer and race their own bio-fuel or electrically powered remote controlled cars. The challenge supports engineering principles through applied maths, science and engineering within an education environment.

This year is the 12th annual Formula Schools Race Day. The event is completely FREE for schools and companies to attend. The event provides a great opportunity to inspire hundreds of young people who have been actively involved in numerous engineering and management challenges over the last nine months. What can you do to support Formula Schools and the students participating?

If you have an interest in the future of the engineering industry you need to be there to show there is real purpose in continuing in these fields both in education and employment.

Listed below are some of the ways in which you can get involved;

Careers Village - Stand activities to display company products and merchandiseHere the pupils and teachers can gain inspiration and find out about future opportunities in the field of Technology and Engineering education and employment.

For careers village exhibitors there is only a charge to offset the funding of the structure you will be in, this is done at cost and is £100 in total including your stand area, tables, electrical supply and VIP lunch.

Donating and awarding a prize (e.g. money, vouchers, tour of company, branded merchandise)

We welcome any suggestions that you feel will help the event be a memorable one for exhibitors and participants. 

RegistrationThe support from education and industry is invaluable and without it Formula Schools would not be able to continue encouraging the engineers of the future to come forward. To this end we would appreciate any contribution you are able to give in support of Formula Schools and the students participating.

To facilitate our planning ideally we would like to confirm all Race Day participation ASAP. If you could assist by replying promptly this would be greatly appreciated.
