GT Open pre-season test

Attracts significant and top-level attendance - over 30 cars expected on 10-11 March in Valencia

On-track activity will resume for the International GT Open, as most of the teams will participate next Monday and Tuesday, 10-11 March, in the pre-season collective test session scheduled in the Ricardo Tormo circuit near Valencia.

The winter break has been rich in news regarding entries, new cars and driver line-up changes, and the third season of the International GT Open, which will continue to enjoy great stability in technical and sports rules, looks more promising than ever.

The season-opener (Vallelunaga, on 19-20 April) may still be more than one month away, but most teams have already started testing their machines and drivers. The Valencia collective session will be a great opportunity to continue working and to have first terms of comparison.

The test session is also open to competitors of the Spanish GT Championship and will include, on each of the two days, four 55-minute sessions, for a total of almost eight hours of track activity.

GT Open teams have responded with enthusiasm to the invitation: more than 30 cars are expected to do the trip to Spain. In the GTA class, the list is led by the 2007 winner squad, Autorlando Sport, which will bring its two Porsches 997 RSR. Another 997 RSR will be present, the one of Spanish team Drivex. The Ferraris F430 will attend in great number, with all of the front-running teams present: Playteam SaraFree, Advanced Engineering, RSV Motorsport, AC Andorra, Edil Cris, ASM Portugal and Josep Mayola. The Mosler MT900R of Motor Competición and the two SR21 of Sun Red are also part of the attendance list in the leading class, where the most awaited novelty will be the Corvette GT2 of new Italian team Ventidue Motorsport of Andrea Antonini (with Marco Cioci at the wheel).

The GTS class will be represented by the Lamborghinis Gallardo of Racing Box, the Ferraris F430 of Roger Racing and Scuderia Giudici, the Marcos Mantis, the Dodge Viper GT3 of Andrea Perlini and several Porsches.
