More power, more downforce, more driveability, more of an experience; that’s what awaits drivers of the new Formula Silverstone single seater racecar.

Introduced this year, the single-seater was designed by the Silverstone Engineering Team specifically for use on the Stowe Circuit by driving experience and corporate customers.  This replaces the previous wingless Formula First car and, in the process, sees a dramatic increase in performance and driving experience.

Designed to replicate the sensations of a Formula One car around the famous Northants Grand Prix circuit, the new racecar weighs in at just 500kg. Power has been increased over the outgoing car from 98bhp to 140bhp.

The 1.6-litre Ford Duratec unit now screams to the magic 60mph marker in less than 5 seconds and can reach speeds of up to 130mph.

The latest addition to the Silverstone stable joins the Ferrari 360, Porsche 911 (997) and Lotus Exige on the “Silverstone Challenge” – a unique day with ten driving activities including the exclusive chance to drive on the full Grand Prix track.

The Silverstone Challenge is priced at £599 (ex-VAT); alternatively, Silverstone can organise bespoke events to suit a range of budgets.
