The UK’s newest scheme to develop the next generation of British rallying talent, Junior Rallying, is offering a chance to win a luxury two-night weekend away as well as a Junior Rallying driving experience thanks to sponsor, the Trefeddian Hotel in Aberdovey.
The Trefeddian Hotel is a sponsor of Junior Rallying figurehead Tom Cave, whose rally career began in Latvia last season, at the age of 15 years. It is Tom’s activity that inspired the creation of the scheme, to develop drivers from the age of 14, with the full support of the Latvian Automobile Federation.
The Trefeddian Hotel has teamed-up with Junior Rallying to offer two nights’ accommodation for two adults and one child at the four-star hotel, located on the breath-taking Welsh coastline at Aberdovey. In addition to accommodation, the winners will also take breakfast and dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, prepared by highly-acclaimed Head Chef Neil Harrison.
While at the hotel, the winners can experience many of the attractions on offer, such as the hotel’s own indoor swimming pool and health spa, for a range of treatments. Venturing outside, the winners will discover one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK, the four-mile Aberdovey beach. Golf, hill-walking, bird-watching, sailing and kite-surfing are all available within minutes of the hotel.
Not only will the winners receive the two-night weekend break at the Trefeddian, they will also win the chance for a 14-17 year old to take part in a Rally Experience, as part of the Junior Rallying program. This will be at a venue and date to be confirmed with the winner but will effectively form the first part of Phase 1 of the Junior Rallying programme, which aims to develop young drivers’ skills and expertise through a combination of formal training and genuine competition experience. The Trefeddian Hotel already has a strong link with motorsport. It is a sponsor of Tom Cave, who is competing in this year’s Latvian Rally Championship as part of the Junior Rallying programme and World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb has stayed at the hotel while testing.
Entries for the competition will open this weekend on the Junior Rallying stand at Race Retro (Stand F24, Hall 1), the historic motorsport show at Stoneleigh. The draw will take place on 31 March and winner will be notified following the draw.
