Ben 10 drives forward ....

with Pickup Truck sponsorship

Cartoon Network has agreed to a year long sponsorship of the reigning Pickup Truck champion Steve Dance’s winning vehicle.  The truck will be emblazoned with imagery from Cartoon Network’s smash hit animation series Ben 10 and will see its debut at Brands Hatch on Monday 24 March in the first of 22 races throughout the year.

Reading based Dance secured the title for the second time in his career in front of a packed crowd at Brands Hatch last November.  This weekend he is back in action ready to defend his crown and more importantly challenge for the honour of being the first driver to win the Pickup title for a third time.

"I'm very excited to be running in the colours of Cartoon Network," he said.  "Pickup Truck racing is full of colourful characters and our race action is designed to entertain – the fastest guys start at the back of the grid – you just don’t see that anywhere else.  It’s always been family friendly and this partnership with Cartoon Network and Ben 10 will definitely appeal to everyone with young families who come along and watch our racing."

Graham Saltmarsh, Licensing Director at Cartoon Network Enterprises adds: "We are delighted to be sponsoring Steve Dance in the Pickup Truck championship.  The fast, exciting racing makes this particular motor sport hugely entertaining both for adults and young people. We are really looking forward to the season ahead and wish Steve and his team the very best for 2008."
