Felipe headed Kimi by nearly half a second to take pole. Heikki took 3rd ahead of Lewis.

BMW were pretty quick and Heidfeld's lap was screwed by meeting the Mclarens in turn 4 - practically stationary on the racing line as they crawled back to the pits to save fuel. The stewards will doubtless have to look at this problem as the closing speeds between cars on a qualifying lap and crawling back to the pits is huge.
