Capello and Sanna narrowly miss victory
Podium positions for the Audi R8 LMSFIA GT3: At the FIA GT3 European Championship event in Germany the Audi R8 LMS secured podium positions in both races. In the battle for victory in the first race at Oschersleben, Christopher Mies and Christopher Haase had to settle for second place only 0.5 seconds behind in the Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS. On Sunday Cesar Campanico and Nicolas Armindo from Team Rosberg clinched second place in a turbulent race which was started behind the Safety Car. Haase and Mies were sixth. Capello and Sanna narrowly miss victoryItalian GT Championship: Dindo Capello and Giorgio Sanna experienced a weekends of highs and lows in the fifth and sixth races of the Italian GT Championship at Mugello. In the first race the Italian duo held second position for much of the race in the Audi Sport Italia Audi R8 LMS. A tire failure with Giorgio Sanna at the wheel threw them back to fourth place. In the second race start driver Sanna handed over the Audi R8 LMS as leader to partner Dindo Capello. As rain started to fall the Safety Car was deployed onto the track. Capello tried to defend the lead while still on slicks but was pushed down to second on the last lap.
