Bikes: WC podium for Natalie Kane

IN GERMANY

MVR-D Suzuki rider, Natalie Kane, made it onto a world podium again yesterday, as the RM-Z250 rider stormed to a brilliant third place result in the first race of the day in the Ladies class at the German Grand Prix.

Following another dream season of racing so far in the UK, Kane has been impressing on the world stage too with consistent finishes in the first four rounds of the Women's World Championship, but for the first time this year climbed onto the podium at the Teutschenthal track, with a determined first race finish behind regular front-runners Stephanie Laier and Larissa Papenmeier.

"Naturally I'm delighted to make it onto the podium today", commented Kane. "The competition is obviously much fiercer than at home, but it gives me the challenge I need to progress. We made some changes to the set-up of the RM-Z250, which made me feel much more comfortable and allowed me to push harder to get these results."

In race two, Kane just missed out on a repeat result, coming home in fourth place and taking fourth overall on the day.

Team manager, Mark Chamberlain commented, "Another stunning performance from Natalie again. A podium is exactly what she deserves and gives us something to build on for the remaining rounds of the championship. With Mattis still recovering from injury, we decided to sit-out this weekend, so he can make a return at his home Grand Prix in Latvia this weekend coming.
