Euroseries 3000 Race 1
Marco Bonanomi took his first win of the season in Euroseries 3000 at Magny-Cours.
The Bull Racing driver, started from the front row beside Fabrizio Crestani who started on pole, in the end managed to stay ahead of TP Formula's Italian, who took the second place in France.
Despite this success, Bonanomi is still one point behind Crestani in the championship standings. The leader, thanks to the pole and the fastest lap in the race, managed to mantain the same advantage as in Portugal. On the third step of the podium went the English Will Bratt, for the Spanish team of the former F1 driver Emilio de Villota.
While the gap between the first two drivers was close (626 thousands of a second), Bratt was further behind (3"8). Out of the podium went Earl Bamber (TP Formula), Fabio Onidi (FMSI) and Ben Hanley (FMSI). First points in the championship also for the Italian drivers Marcello Puglisi (Durango) and Michael Dalle Stelle (Lazarus).
