 FOR WORLD CUP OPENER

BRITISH boss Rob Lyon has thrown in the youngsters for next month's WorldCup event at Peterborough.Team GB will face powerhouse duo Australia and Poland along with underdogs Slovenia at the East of England Showground on Monday, July 13.

Coventry's Chris Harris and Edward Kennett are included with Wolverhampton's teenage ace Tai Woffinden. But the biggest surprise is the news that Eastbourne's Lewis Bridger and Ipswich star Daniel King have been selected to make their World Cup debut

.It means there's no place for vastly experienced duo Scott Nicholls and Lee Richardson - but Lyon insists it could change should they reach Poland for the latter stages of the competition.

"I've gone with the youngsters because they deserve their opportunity," said Lyon. "I've been talking about the younger generation since I took the job and this is their chance to shine."

Lee and Scott have been very professional and understanding about the situation and they are still very much in my thoughts."
