Three Cruzes in the top six and the first one only one position away from the top of the rankings: this was the first verdict in Porto, where the Race of Portugal will take place this week-end. Rob Huff was 2nd, just ahead of Alain Menu, while Nicola Larini set the sixth fastest lap.
Friday’s testing session, was aimed mostly at working on the set-up for the urban track that should suit the characteristics of the new Chevrolet well and this track is completely new to theCruze. The team were pleased with the first results and aims at doing even better in tomorrow’s qualifying.

Rob Huff (2nd): «I am pleased with the second fastest time of the session, especially as I didn’tpush very hard. It was a good working session and everything went smoothly. Tonight we willwork to try to find some more front end grip”.
Alain Menu (3rd): “It was a usefull day and I believe we have some room for improvement. I thinkthe set-up on my car was a little bit too hard and we’ll work on this tonight with the engineers”.Nicola Larini (6th): “Everything OK as far as I am concerned. I could have done a better time, butwhen I put on new tires, I was slowed by some yellow flags. The car feels fine and we’ll seetomorrow when the serious things begin”.
