AMERICAN youngster Ricky Wells enjoyed his best night in British speedway with an 11-point haul in Coventry's win over Peterborough.The 17-year-old secured two vital race wins late in the meeting as the Bees overcame a six-point deficit to come through 49-41.Wells said: "The Coventry fans and management have given me so much support and it's great to work things out and make some good starts."

PREMIER League leaders Workington were denied at Scunthorpe by Simon Lambert's best display in Scorpions colours.Lambert piled up 13 (paid 16) at reserve, and 5-1s in the last two races ensured the home side took full points from the meeting.Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: "Having Simon at reserve produced exactly the kind of result we hoped for. It's vital to have a reserve who can score well."
