SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship - Rounds 7 & 8: Kirkistown, 4-5 July

In both thrilling run-offs Nick Algar took maximum points in the two British Sprint Championship rounds at Kirkistown. The Gould driver set a new circuit record on the Saturday as he fought off a strong challenge from local driver Robert Woodside Junior. On Sunday he set an unofficial circuit record and only 5/100ths outside the fastest ever unofficial outright time set by the A1 GP Ireland car in testing en route to the 12 points. Steve Miles improved his personal best at the venue by over 4 seconds at the venue in securing his 2nd 11 pointer of the weekend on Sunday. Simon Bainbridge’s efforts secured him Spirit of the weekend award and a free entry for 2010.
